As part of your Kokua Board's program to bring our owners closer to the food that we eat, we have arranged a wonderful Saturday out in Waianae. Tentatively, we will visit the Waianae Farmers' Market then visit Rocky's Farm (home of the famous Rocky's Mangoes). We will spend a few hours at Kahumana Farm and eat at their healthy new restaurant for lunch. - What I want from our coop
- My interest in Kakua Coop is to offer a way for members to grow their own organically grown produce in a easy to manage container garden in their own back yards. I believe Coop members who are actively involved in the Coop already want to eat better more health promoting food. I believe being a part of this community will help me develop an alive and interesting approach to home gardening.
- I can contribute the following skills/services/collaborations (i.e., graphic design; legal services; landscaping; owner coupons/discounts, etc.) to our co-op
- As a Permaculture student since 2007, I wish to extend my understandings of this study to all the Coop members who are interested in creating sustainability in their lives. I have some experience in growing organically and learning and sharing with others is why I want to be a part of this Coop. See my website below for more information.
