Indigenous Soap

“Indigenous Soap” is the brainchild of Love Chance and Eric
Gamundoy. Love and Eric started their business in 2003 with a
mission to “Provide the people with quality natural handmade soap
and body care products that are synthetic free. To increase the
consciousness of our extended indigenous family (customers) about
the goodness of using natural things on the body as opposed to
synthetic ones.” These are premium, handcrafted soaps with 100%
natural ingredients. Containing essential oils, each bar has a
wonderful smell and effect on your body. There are several
varieties available in two sizes; 5 oz bath and 2 oz travel size,
each beautifully wrapped in brown paper and printed in brown and
earth tones with pertinent information inside each package. Having
a unique rectangular shape makes them easy to hold in the tub or
shower and their beautiful packaging makes them ideal as a gift
idea or for your home.

Pat's Hawaii (aka The Avo Man)
Pat Sinclair is an avocado distributor on the Big Island who has
been in business for over 30 years, and he fondly talks about how
Kokua Market was his very first account on Oahu. His philosophy and
mission is to help small family farms in Kona to make extra money
through purchasing avocados from them at the highest price and
turning around and selling them at the lowest possible price to
stores like Kokua Market, thus taking good care of the farmers and
passing the savings on to the consumer. The growing season lasts
about 9 months with summer being the off season. When his avocados
are available, Kokua is the first store he will sell them to, and
at the end of the season, Kokua is his last customer. Pat believes
in being a steward of the land and is as environmentally conscious
as possible. For example, the avocados are all shade grown in a
natural bed of leaves, pesticide free. The highest quality product
is very important to him. To provide such high quality, Pat and the
farmers put their resources together as a community to grow the
best possible avocados. We hope you enjoy the wonderful Sharwell’s
from Pat.
